Kubernetes Platform Engineer III, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate assists or supports with infrastructure design, service maintenance and upgrades, implementation and maintenance of supportive tooling and automation, and in aiding incident troubleshooting and resolution. Ensures feasibility, evaluates risks and creates well-thought-out design and implementation by conceptualizing ideas, targeting research, and rapid prototyping. Builds common services such as identity, authentication, authorization, queuing, and notification, to enable other engineering teams to migrate to a service-oriented-architecture. May have over 11 years of experience in this field, with at least one year of satisfactory full-time experience as a professional in an IT, technical or engineering environment in one or a combination of the following: computer science, computer engineering, public safety services, public health services, public administration, software engineering, financial services, or any other relevant areas related to information technology & services, computer software, and financial services. Have vast knowledge of computer programming languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, etc. and strong experience working with SQL and no-SQL data stores. Partners with other members of the development team to develop deployable architecture through code using Terraform on AWS to ensure stability and quality. Works closely with the IT team to build framework and tools helpful for identifying scaling bottlenecks (including load testing, chaos engineering) measuring, monitoring and optimizing backend performance in order to ensure high availability, scalability and fault tolerance. Utilizes advanced skills to develop a broad range of technical solutions for meeting specifications and impacting future development and operation. Acts as a key player in developing and reviewing architecture, platform and infrastructure plans, develops and coordinates staff activities related to product development processes. Assists in developing, defining and creating best practices processes throughout the phases of the development cycles. Offers tailored operational support for the organization’s development team to aid with more agile delivery. Delivers feedback to the Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer and maintains daily interaction with the digital commerce operation manager, development team members, systems administration, and enterprise resource planning.
