Big Data Architect II , CCT Agile Development Labor Rate designs strategies and programs to collect, store, analyze and model data from both internal/external sources. Participate in meetings to review project designs. This will include high-level design of the overall solution and detailed design of components as needed by the company (Including operational data store, data distribution services, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, user interface, analysis/reporting, etc.). Lead efforts to define/refine execution standards for all data architecture, mentor teams on standards and review all designs to ensure that project teams are meeting expectations for quality and conformity. Regularly interact with leadership on work status, priority setting and resource allocations. Research new tools and/or new data architecture and review with project teams as applicable. Work with support team to define methods for implementing solutions for large database problems. The Big data architect should understand the system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques. The data architect is asked to conceptualize and influence application and interface projects, and therefore must understand what advice to give and where to plug in to steer toward desirable outcomes. Depth in data modeling and database design is a required skill, Big Data Architect II is required to have at least a bachelor of Science degree in Computer science or any other relevant field, nice to have a higher level degree( either Ph.D. or Masters) with 6+ years of experience working in Data architecture, Data Science or any other relevant field. Data architect is either experienced or conversant in emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data. Should Possess strong communication and organizational skills and ability to deal with ambiguity while juggling multiple priorities and projects at the same time. Ability to understand statistical solutions and execute similar activities. Ability to conceive and portray the big data picture: Big Data Architect initiates, evaluates, and influences projects from the perspective of the company. The data architect maps the systems and interfaces used to manage data, sets standards for data management, analyzes current state and conceives desired future state. Works towards conceiving projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals. Reports to the Sr. Manager of Data Architecture.
