Systems Engineer II, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is responsible for researching, evaluating, and recommending systems hardware and software solutions, including servers, storage (SAN/NAS), and backup software. Works with other members of the systems engineering team to design, configure and upgrade server and storage environments. This may involve engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of physical and virtual servers, storage, backups, as well as disaster recovery planning. Collaborates with infrastructure, software and solutions engineering teams to formulate and design security systems to ensure data safety in accordance to the protocols of the organization. May have 6-10 years of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an IT or enterprise systems engineering environment in one or a combination of the following: cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, computer systems engineering, information security, engineering, information technology, and any other specialized area related to systems engineering. Have adequate knowledge of ISO 14971, ISO and FDA design control requirements, and possess outstanding ability understanding complex system interactions and the effect on analytical performance. May be experienced in working with tools/methods including Six Sigma, DOE, Failure Analysis, FMEA, Minitab, LabView, MathCAD, MathLAB, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and IBM DOORS. Demonstrates adequate level of experience troubleshooting and solving problems through the use of programming/scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Linux shell/BASH, Perl, and Ruby, as well as relational database languages like SQL. Familiars with automation through enterprise distribution and configuration management platforms like SCCM, Ansible, Puppet, and/or Chef. Showcases special ability to manage multiple assigned tasks and willingness to respond to emergencies. Team-up with the defined technology teams, internal business unit resources, and outsourced solution providers to build secure, scalable, extensible technology-based solutions that meet both corporate and leading industry standards. Possesses relevant certifications in the field of computer and information technology such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA A+, Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and other related security certifications. Works with and reports to the Senior Systems Engineer.
