LR116 Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is responsible for planning, performing and coordinating the activities of the system engineering team, including technical work, experiments, and integration studies on behalf of the organization. This may involve participating in challenges designs, tolerance studies, change requests, procedures, test methods, protocols, and reports and providing support in resolution of conflicting design requirements. Ensures and facilitates the design and development of new test methods and processes for taking care of complex parts, components and systems functions. Assists in recommending new tools to optimize processes, procedures and test methods. Evaluates the defined systems and provides technical direction and guidance to the IT support team, in addition to overseeing the development of customized software and hardware requirements. May have Bachelor’s degree from any accredited institution in a relevant course of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May have over 11 year of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an IT or enterprise systems engineering environment in one or a combination of the following: cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, computer systems engineering, information security, engineering, information technology, and any other specialized area related to systems engineering. Have high-level of experience and knowledge using computer programming/scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Linux shell/BASH, Perl, and/or Ruby for troubleshooting and solving complex problems. Familiars with all the major computer operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, and Linux. Conducts training that’s relevant to systems engineering operations to junior team members and to develop and enhance skills. Participates in recommending and assisting with developing improvements associated with support processes, tools, standards and the overall performance. Have vast experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stack like Tomcat, Apache, and JBoss and demonstrates past experience working in an environment with strict adherence to industry regulatory standards such as ISO, HIPAA, SOC, etc. Boasts relevant security certifications such as GSEC, SSCP, CCNA, CISA, CISSP, CCNP, and/or GICSP. Coordinates the activities of Systems Engineer I, II, and III in accordance to the organization’s standards.
