LR119 Site Reliability Engineer III

Site Reliability Engineer III, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate deploys, supports, monitors, and troubleshoots large scale microservice based distributed systems to ensure enhanced operations within the organization. Documents the IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures and ensures compliance with security and data handling policies to meet PCI, HIPAA, ISO, and other industry standards. Contributes to the design of operational processes and solutions to proactively address and resolve issues. Facilitates the process of building tools and solutions for bridging software development teams with system infrastructure. Evaluates new products, tools, and infrastructure platforms and assists in performing software development tasks, including creating and maintaining internal tools, and integrating with third party systems. May have 11 or more years of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an Information Technology, software development or security operations environment in one or a combination of the following: Department of computer science, information security, cybersecurity, public health service, public safety services, engineering, information technology, and any other specialized area related to site reliability engineering field. Have extensive knowledge comfortably working with multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PowerShell, C++, Bash and relational database systems like MySQL and No-SQL. Demonstrates proficiency utilizing highly scalable configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, and/or Puppet; adequate experience with containerization tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes; and knowledge of working with large distributed, scalable and complex systems, as well as monitoring technologies such as Zabbix/ITRS. Conducts and implements secure and reliable deployment strategies for software deployments to the business systems, infrastructure growth, and management. Team-up with other members of the development unit in defining and driving an effective model, and facilitates architecting, designing, and developing a brand-new platform leveraging advanced technologies. Supports in creating and maintaining technical documentation and offers technical direction to operations teams to ensure adherence to the organization’s protocols. Reports to the Senior Site Reliability Engineer.
