Space Embedded Software Engineer III, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is part of a team that is responsible for designing, developing and integrating embedded firmware for space software appliances such as remote sensing, satellite television, GPS systems, and space security devices. Design and code embedded software for space vehicles like aircraft, spaceships, and satellites. Work in national defense project to build aerospace defense aircraft. Responsible for interpreting the requirements and changes that are needed in the space software. Develop embedded software and discuss its specification with the senior Space Embedded Software Engineer. Help lead departmental team members in execution and release of sophisticated space embedded software development using continuous deployment and integration of CI/CD applications and processes. Develop and implement new software/applications to meet standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability of aerospace vehicles. Develop embedded firmware in procedural languages such as Python, Perl, C, JavaScript, C++, and so on. Use technical skills to design and implement specific software features targeted for the residential markets. Space Embedded Software engineer III will interact with the product management and user interface design teams to design and develop solutions that secure end-users’ homes while enabling innovative home automation solutions. Provide engineering support for testing, developing, and updating of embedded software. Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other related field; with 11+ years of working experience in Software engineering and development environments. Have in-depth knowledge of space embedded software and exceptional ability at debugging what other space embedded developers have coded. Possess excellent understanding of common communication interfaces like SPI, transmitters, receivers, and others. Experienced in developing embedded firmware using C++, Python, multi-threading, multiprocessing, standard library, cross compiler, in-circuit emulator, JTAG, SWD, and so on. Experienced using formal software development practices, including the use of software configuration management, coding standards, and style guides. Reports to the senior Space Embedded Software Engineer.
