Sensor Programmer III, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is responsible for encoding the algorithms that train sensors on how to respond to different types of variables. The sensors programmed are used in a wide range of industries to accomplish specific functions that increase efficiency and simplify workflow. Design and code sensors that can measure or sense the smallest change in value of the physical variable such as pressure, oil content, temperature, or airspeed. Design sensors to meet standards on accuracy, span, range, sensitivity, linearity, resolution, and repeatability. Design interconnection components to achieve the highest and most demanding performances and quality standards. Involved with the writing, testing, and modification of programs and codes that direct the activity of a variety of sensors to continuously monitor different conditions, to feed information to the computers for processing, so that the correct information will be displayed to the user. Collaborate with users on the best sensor programming solutions that automate critical processes, alert end-users in real time, and helps reduce downtime. Proficient in relevant computer programming languages such as C/C++, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, .NET, MATLAB, B#, Parasail, PHP, and so on. May have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent certification in a related field. May have 11 or more years of experience working in related positions in authoritative organizations. Capable of building sensors for various devices and industries that can connect over both wireless and wired communication channels or data formats. Knowledgeable about the trade-offs in performance, device portability, effectiveness, simplicity, and the ease of deployment when different sensor models with different data ntypes, sampling rates, communication channels, configuration methods, are used to build the similar sensor applications.
