Microservices Architect II, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate is responsible for creating and refining a defined high-level microservices architecture and delivering architecture know-how within internal functional development teams in an organizational environment. Provides hands-on involvement with development and ensures quality testing through the entire product realization process. Plays an active role in defining microservices based on required product functions, as well as providing support required to define the microservices deployment methodology for embedded systems and internal software quality assurance (SQA) methodology. Creates microservices assessment assets to identify current level of best practices adoption, gaps, and roadmap for adoption of microservices practices. May have 6-10 years of experience in this field, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in microservices architecture environment in one or a combination of the following: Department of computer science, service governance & policy management, service security management & enforcement, metadata management, data processing & related data security concepts, information technology, software engineering, business administration, enterprise risk management, or any other specialized areas related to Microservices architecture. Have adequate knowledge creating architecture road map, design, patterns, and solutions for specific domain models such as business rules, persistence, caching, transaction management, security, code generation, TDD, refactoring principles, and other combinations of related domains. May be experienced in Java development and working with build tools such as Maven and Gradle. Showcases strong technical background working with internet architecture development related technology like REST web service development, microservices, as well as an in-depth knowledge of twelve-factor application methodology. Demonstrates hands-on experience with Postgres, SQL, Docker and/or Docker Compose, and is familiar with source code version control systems such as Git/SVN. Possesses special analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems and multitask during emergencies. Team-up with other units within the organization to define and ensure strict adherence to a Service Governance Model in order to achieve safe and secure business processes and operations. Provides the Senior Microservices Architect with honest feedback related to microservices architecture on a regular basis.
