LR096 Senior Research Scientist

Senior Research Scientist, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate works in a laboratory environment to perform experiments that will assist with the development of new products for consumers. Responsible for the formulation of comprehensive research strategies for lower-level research scientists to follow. Mentor and train junior research scientists. Analyze and simplify complicated procedures and devise new ways of implementing plans. Go through various publications to stay abreast of new developments in the field of expertise. Participate in joint research projects and ensure effective data collection, data analysis, and data interpretation. Conduct in-house researches while increasing benefits and reducing risks. Organize series of training and conferences for different groups of end-users and lower level researchers to disseminate knowledge. Lead a team of other research scientists in formulating, developing, and optimizing new programs, products, applications, or prototypes. Propose, plan, and manage research projects, and publish the results of the projects in journals and/or report to organizational management. Access and incorporate new technologies and facts in the research process for better efficiency. May have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in an Applied Science or other related discipline with 11 or more years of experience being a research scientist. Design and organize scientific research projects that can lead to transformational breakthroughs in the way organizations operate and how customers’ needs are met by businesses. Coordinate lower-level research scientists to ensure project success and enforce globally accepted safety precautions. Have an outstanding track record of adequately handling sensitive projects and confidential data. Have post-doctoral research experience, practical research experience, or laboratory work experience. Highly proficient with scientific approaches and procedures. Have an excellent knowledge of previous and current technological developments in the specific area of expertise. Have a productive interpersonal relationship and outstanding communication skills that command needed results from clients and teammates. Have excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. Analytical and pay very close attention to details. Self-motivated to make an impact and capable of working with little or no supervision. Have unique expertise with the use of relevant computer operating systems and have knowledge of relevant computer programs.
