LR120 Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Computing Technologies Agile Development Labor Rate coordinates the activities of the engineering teams to better address needs and ensure more effective and efficient developer throughput on behalf of the organization. Monitors, maintains and assists with scale services that are integrated into SaaS and product platforms utilizing monitoring and observability systems. Ensures the design, development and implementation of advanced automated operational and deployment frameworks with tooling and infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and enhance operations and velocity. Team-up with other functional offices of the organization in adding, tuning and maintaining alert configuration and documentation as required. Plays a key role in managing end-to-end availability, performance of critical services and building automation to prevent problem recurrence. May have Bachelor’s degree, M.Sc., or Ph.D. from any accredited institution in a relevant course of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May have more than 11 years of experience in this field, with at least one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in an Information Technology, software development or security operations environment in one or a combination of the following: Department of computer science, information security, cybersecurity, public health service, public safety services, engineering, information technology, and any other specialized area related to site reliability engineering field. Highly fluent in Python, JavaScript, C++, Shell, Bash, Ruby and/or Perl programming/scripting languages, and all the major computer operating systems. Highly proficient in administering DC/OS or Kubernetes based microservices, web servers (nginx), and relational database systems including MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, and/or NoSQL. Have excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, technical aptitude and a proven ability and experience to consistently solve complex problems and keeping sensitive information/data confidential. Possesses strong technical background in networking, routing, and security concepts, as well as high expertise working with AWS technologies such as EKS, ELB, RDS, S3/EBS/Glacier and VPC. Works with various departments across the organization to maintain code quality across multiple environments and strict adherence to standards such as PCI, ISO, HIPAA, and other industry laws and requirements. Coordinates all the activities of Site Reliability Engineer I, II, and III in accordance to the organization’s protocols.
